Kingfisher Fire & Security |

Welcome to the first of our periodic newsletters in which we plan to keep you informed of what is happening within Kingfisher Fire & Security as well as any important issues arising within the Fire and Security Industry.

Kingfisher Update

New Image ! - For most people the last 18 months have been difficult times with many businesses seeing a slowdown.   However, rather than just sitting back and waiting for the upturn we decided it would be a good time to invest in our future. After giving the matter some thought we felt we should freshen up our image and as you have probably noticed we now have a new Logo.  To compliment this we have also produced a new brochure and totally rebuilt our website which can be found at our normal address of  www.kingfishersecurity.co.uk

LPS 1014 - More importantly we made a major investment to gain certification to LPS 1014 for Fire Detection and Alarm Systems and in October 2009 we successfully passed the arduous assessment regime and are now a Certificated LPS 1014 Company.

LPS1014 goes beyond NSI (FIRE) Gold and BAFE and where required gives customers added reassurance that their Fire and Detection Systems are installed and maintained to the highest standards.

15 years of Trading - 2009 also marked an important milestone for Kingfisher in that we achieved 15 years of successful trading within the Fire & Security Industry, no mean feat nowadays I am sure you will agree, and we look forward to reaching the 20 year mark.

 Product Slot – IP Cameras

IP Cameras are being used more and more to improve quality, reduce the amount of cabling and installation time and give better system flexibility.  Prices are starting to slowly fall and in some cases it is now more cost effective to install an IP system than a traditionally wired system.

Recent Projects – Bournemouth Airport

We have really got things off the ground in 2010 with the completion of the Fire Detection and Safety System at the new Bournemouth Airport Departures Terminal.  The system utilises Gent Vigilon Network Panels and a selection of S’Quad Devices to ensure maximum reliability at an Airport which will increase the annual number of passengers from 1 million to 3 million in the next couple of years.
